On Monday evening, Heineken USA, in partnership with A&E and the International Documentary Association (IDA), honored Ashley York, winner of the A&E/IDA $50,000 Finishing Fund grant for her film in 2006. The purse, made up of equal gifts from Heineken and A&E, allows documentary filmmakers to bring their treatments to life. Pattie Falch of Heineken, Molly Thomspon of A&E and Sandra Ruch of IDA were on hand to welcome the honoree and her guests.

The partnership between Heineken USA, A&E and the IDA came to fruition during 2006 due to a shared passion for the art of filmmaking and in support of the creativity, innovation and vision of independent filmmakers. The parties announced tonight that they will collaborate again in the support of documentary filmmakers, with an award to another winner in 2007.
